After the home inspection buyers can choose to back out of the purchase contract if the problems with your home are serious enough. Normally though the problems and small and are often handled by the buyer later. Sometimes the seller will agree to fix any problems or the purchase price can be renegotiated to cover any necessary repairs.
In most areas you will also be expected to have a termite inspection. The seller typically pays for this, after which you will receive a certificate to present to the buyer stating that the home is free of termites and termite damage.
